    We are looking for an Occupational Therapist Assistant who provides rehabilitation services to individuals and families in the community.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides quality care for patients and families receiving therapy services.
    • Performs clinical procedures safely and utilizes appro
    • Utilizes appropriate clinical judgment in providing care.
    • Complies with OSHA regulations and infection control standards.
    • Adheres to safety management practices.
    • Provides training of patients and families. Assists with training of new therapist assistant staff. Takes initiative in self-growth and professional development.
    • Incorporates teaching and learning principals into plan of care.
    • Teaches clinical procedures to nursing staff unfamiliar with the procedure when requested. Educates and encourages patient/family participation in health care decisions. Inform patients of their rights and responsibilities. Assists in orienting new staff.
    • Maintains accessible, clearly documented medical records and agency paperwork that meet the requirements for legal purposes, insurance reimbursement and continuity of care.
    • Provides for appropriate coverage of patients on caseload. Assists with coverage of patients when the primary nurse is absent.
    • Ensures customer satisfaction and effective communication patterns.

    Qualifications

    • Active license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in MA and NH (or willingness to obtain a NH license).
    • At least one year's experience as a registered clinician in a rehabilitation or acute care setting.
    • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and well organized.
