    Night Nurse for VNA & Hospice, work 32/hours and get paid for 40/hours, 11pm to 7:30am with a $5,000 sign on bonus.

      

    In this overnight Baylor position you will be able to free up your days and work in collaboration with the triage nurse to provide dependable continuous after hour care for our home health and hospice patients. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provides care to VNA & Hospice patients and families utilizing current principles for after hours
    • Will make overnight visits as needed in collaboration with the triage nurse during on-call hours.
    • Remains competent on technical nursing skills. (i.e. IVs, G-tubes, etc.)
    • Provides effective patient and family teaching.
    • Understands family dynamics and works effectively within various types of family systems.
    • Communicates with MD, family and interdisciplinary care providers to clarify care and increase awareness of significant changes in condition in a timely manner.
    • Maintains timely, accurate, clearly documented medical records and agency paperwork that meet legal requirements, insurance reimbursement requirements and continuity of care needs.
    • Takes initiative in self-growth and professional development.
    • Every other weekend required.

    Qualifications

    • Active MA and NH RN license (or willingness to obtain) from an accredited school of nursing. 
    • Minimum 1-2 years direct care experience.
    • Home care experience preferred.
    • Strong clinical skills required.
