Merrimack Valley High Pointe House, the hospice and palliative care residence of Merrimack Valley Hospice has openings for a Dietary Aide to assist culinary services staff with professionalism, putting forth a positive agency image.



** Sundays, Tuesdays & Thursdays **


  • Stocks Family Kitchenette and Family Room nourishment stations with supplies using “first in first out” method.
  • Delivers and picks up patient food trays. Sanitizes patient water pitches per schedule.
  • Cleans pots, pans, dishes, etc. to ensure cleanliness and optimal infection control in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Loads and unloads dishwasher per protocol. Keeps Family Kitchenette and Café tables clean and free of debris.
  • Ensures all food is properly stored according to state and federal regulations.
  • Uses hairnet, gloves, apron, etc. to optimize infection control and cleanliness per regulations.
  • Utilizes strong customer service skills with patients, families and visitors.
  • Attends inservices and expands dietary knowledge base.


  • Minimum 1 year experience as a dietary aide in healthcare facility.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations in food service and environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.

  • Strong attendance record in work history.
  • Able to read and communicated effectively in English.

  • Physically capable of performing the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
